What Do I Want To Accomplish?

I have been a telecommunications engineer all my adult life. I have been at the leading (sometimes
bleeding) edge of new technologies as they have arrived at the marketplace.

Internet technology is one such area and it continues to make information more available to the
people of District 48. I hope to do more of what has already been done with this technology. The best
job I had while at Lucent (now Alcatel-Lucent) was being a 911 developer. When dispatchers praised
me for “delivering something they could really use”, I was smiling ear to ear. I listened to what they
wanted and delivered. I can translate that to the Representative job. There are many known
challenges and those yet to be defined, at the state level. I would like to take the skills and
experiences of my life and use them for a new purpose, giving back to the people of the state of
Illinois, my home, the home of my family and friends.

My Goals for District 48:

  • Protecting the environment
  • Protecting the people of Illinois with state of the art technology
  • Insuring affordable medicine and treatment
  • Developing standards for education that foster
co-operation  between student, parents, and faculty.
  • Developing programs to minimize costs in the  transportation industry
  • Keep Illinois jobs in Illinois
  • Making government more accessible to the people
  • Keep taxes down
